• Full Name : Amy Hillyard

I first found my love for athletics when I took part in Wolverhampton Regional Schools cross country Championships in Year 6, where I won and then got scouted to join my local club which was Wolverhampton & Bilston AC at the time. Throughout my first few years of taking part in this sport I enjoyed doing cross country and 800m. A few years later into the sport, I got approached by a coach from Birchfield Harriers where he thought I had talent, so I went down to the club for some training sessions and I eventually ended up moving clubs and changing events. At the age of 16, I got my first England vest to represent England in the Schools International in the individual and relay. From here, this was just the beginning of my career of athletics as I was making the England teams for my event. I have achieved success over 60m, 200m, 300m, 400m and 800m so far in my career. My best successes are Team England 4 x 400m – Loughborough International, Team England 4 x 300m – Schools international Gold, English Schools 300m – Silver, English Schools 400m – Silver, U15s England champs 800m – Silver, U20s England champs 400m – Silver, UK School games 300m – Bronze, UK School games 4 x 300m – Silver, Midland champ 400m – Gold, Midland champ 200m – Gold, Midland champ 60m – Gold, British University Champs 400m – Silver, Team England 400m – Gold Welsh International (Championship Record) , U17s England Champs 300m – Bronze, Team England 200m – Bronze Welsh International.
