• Full Name : Lisa Swanson

I am currently the longest serving female player at Rangers Football Club. I signed for Rangers Girls at 16 years old and was also one of the first players to sign for the Ladies team when they were formed one year later in 2008. Previously, I played for a boys’ team, Saltcoats United, before joining Kilmarnock at 13 where I played for 3 years. I was then scouted by Rangers, the team I have always supported, and have been at the club ever since.

Throughout my time at Rangers, I was given the opportunity to move to Finland for 3 months and play professional football for a team that were struggling and needed a striker (Aland United), I had a successful time in Finland & scored the vital goal in the 88 minute of the game which secured the point for Aland United to avoid relegation. I then decided to come back home & continue my football with Rangers.

Through a lot of hard work, determination & hours of practise, I was also successful as a child after winning two British football skills competitions which meant I then went on to appear on Sport Relief & also travelled to Barcelona to appear in a football skills DVD with ex-Celtic legend, Henrik Larsson & ex-Rangers legend, Giovanni Van Bronkhorst.

I have been fortunate enough to travel the world with football and have visited places such as Sweden, Finland, England, Spain and spent three months on the West Coast of America coaching ‘soccer’ to boys and girls of all ages.
