Bio
How I Started
I started in primary school around the age of 10, but I was told I was too small to play and that I also wouldn’t be able to as it was a boys’ football team. I waited patiently and one day the headteacher at the time broke his leg which meant a female headmistress took up the role in the meantime. After that I was told by another teacher that I was allowed to join in with the boys’ team and I gleefully took up the opportunity!
My Greatest Achievement
My greatest achievement is undoubtedly playing in the world cup with Scotland. Of course it’s every player’s dream to compete for their country. Because it was the peak for me at the time I was over the moon. My first appearance was against England in 2019, I invited my family to support me after they had been on the same journey with me since the very start, it was an extremely special moment.
My Greatest Challenge
My greatest challenge has been injury, specifically when I sustained a micro fracture in my knee which left me on the sideline for a whole year! It was a slow process, and I was on a strict recovery regime continuing to train as an individual trying to nurse the injury back to health and keep myself as fit as possible on my return back to the pitch!
My Hobbies
Outside of football, I love taking my dog out and spending time with friends and family in my leisure time!
My Future goals
In the future I would like to go into managing a team. I have already completed UEFA B-License with Scotland and I am currently working towards obtaining my UEFA A-License right now, after that I am one more step away from having my Pro License which is the highest rank you can be!
