Bio
How I started:
I started playing Basketball because my older brother played so I had to go along to practise sessions and whatnot. Eventually I joined in on the sidelines mimicking what the players were doing, and then I began playing for an all-girls team every Saturday morning!
My Greatest Achievement:
My greatest achievement is getting promoted to division A in the U16 championship with the England national team. We played Germany in the division B finals, unfortunately we lost, but because we came second we got to play in division A next year. Everyone is roughly the same age in this division so a lot of my peers moved up to U18’s division B whereas I stayed and played in division A!
My Greatest Challenge:
My greatest challenge has been injury. I’ve sustained a lot of injuries, but tearing my calf before going into my first season upon playing in the UK again after being overseas for a while. The team was amazing and we achieved a lot throughout the season, but I was sidelined for most of it as a result of this. It took the best part of the year to recover from and still to this day it can sometimes crop up!
My Hobbies:
Outside of Basketball I enjoy reading, travelling to new places, and spending time with friends and family whenever I can!
My Future Aspirations:
In the future I hope to continue to elevate myself Basketball wise, and I would love to make the GB senior team! Outside of the sport I am training to become a councillor.
