Bio
How I started:
At 10 years old I was chasing my mums car when she realised I was quick and we should maybe look to join an athletics club. From there I joined Spenborough Athletics Club and tried various events before settling on sprinting. A friend from university suggested I give bobsleigh a go. From there I attended a talent identification day where you are assessed for your suitability for the sport. I did well and after some further testing I was selected.
My Greatest Achievement:
This year I attended the World Championships, we came in the the top 6 which was a great achievement considering half the season has been hampered by injuries. However, I also achieved bronze at the World Cup in Lillehammer, Norway this year too!
My Greatest Challenge:
My greatest challenge is overcoming damaged cartilage in my ankle. I was told by doctors if I had the operation I would never sprint to my level again. After 2 hard years of rehab I managed to get my ankle to a place where I could achieve good times again including a new personal best 2 years ago!
My Hobbies:
Taking my dog for walks, watching the NBA, drinking great coffee, and spending time with friends and family.
My Future Aspirations:
In the future I hope to get to the Olympics!
