How I started:
My mum and dad are fitness instructors at a leisure club that had some Squash courts, both of my brothers started playing junior Squash whilst my mum and dad were working, and once I was old enough I wanted to join in.
My Greatest Achievement:
My greatest achievement is when I reached 20th in the world ranking, and when I was selected for the Commonwealth Games. They took four females from Team England, and they looked at our current form, previous achievements, and from the top four athletes in the country! When I found out I was selected my national coach rang me and gave me the news, I was so proud and excited to have this opportunity, and training from there on out had an extra incentive and motivation added to it!
My Greatest Challenge:
My greatest challenge was getting my head round a poor run of form, last season was particularly difficult as I felt like I was doing everything I could to get the results I wanted, but that’s just not how it was turning out. I think everything got a bit stale, and so I made a change of coaches and altered the way I was training which really reignited the fire. I also enrolled with a Player Development Coach and a Strength & Conditioning Coach which allowed me to focus more on the mental side of the game and let me become more mindful. I think they worked hand in hand as the strength and conditioning work gave me more confidence, and my wellness coach allowed me to maintain that confidence going into the next season.
My Hobbies:
Outside of squash I like to follow Tottenham, and going out for coffee. And I also love to spend my leisure time with friends and family as I don’t get much time between training and competing!
My Future Aspirations:
In the future I am looking forward to hopefully competing in the 2026 Commonwealth Games and picking up a couple of gold medals for England. I would also like to see myself as the top player in the world picking up as many titles as possible along the way! I’d like to be a part of the England team for both the European and World Championships each year competing at the top of medals!
