Sports For Champions UK (CIC) visit youth across the UK to educate them through the perspective of para-athletes in a range of disciplines, featuring world champions, Team GB stars, world record holders, and a Deaflympian with a voice to remember!
SFC enable youth by exploring [dis]ability and inclusion, in literal terms, as well as within the context of community and sport. Other key areas of discussion help youth to realise/boost confidence and achieve - if not reinforce - a sense of direction, which is essential for young people to develop sustainably in a high-pressure world.
Having empowered youth through impactful discussion on our [potential] abilities as humans, both inside and outside of school, SFC lead reflections on our need for physical exercise and good nutrition. This is central to the general wellbeing of all, with particular benefits from both in child mental health. Youth need to be active and over 70% of society require significant improvement, according to the British government. Unfortunately, due to the rate of modernity/technology, the government admits failure in its work to reduce obesity and create healthier active communities.
Dynamic circuits ensue as one aspect of a successful 10-year international school programme, letting youth lead by example and in practice, following interactive classroom discussions. This impactful two-day experience is one to remember!
