I have been training with both my father and my older sister since I was 4 years old. One of my main ambitions was to win gold medal in the Commonwealth Game. Under the coaching of my older sister, Louise Renicks, I won the Commonwealth gold in the Women’s Under 48kg Judo event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Since the beginning of my career I have won over 15 World Cup medals with victories in Birmingham (2009) and Apia (2013) and I won the British Open in 2013 and 2015. My next plan was to compete at the Commonwealth Games that was held in Queensland, Australian but unfortunately, my sport wasn’t chosen as a sport to run. I recently travelled to Tel Aviv to compete in the European Championships.
'Kimberly was absolutely fantastic yesterday! There was a real buzz in the hall during the circuits and her assembly was absolutely inspiring for our children. We are very grateful to her and will be following her career from now on.' Carley from Oakdale Junior School
"What a marvelous experience for our children who were obviously inspired and enthused. Highly recommend!" "I thought Kimberley was really engaging and even though the assembly was long, it was interesting and relevant to the children. Kids and I thoroughly enjoyed it though" "Excellent experience for the children, fantastic links to our learning powers especially resilience and perseverance.' "Really personable. Friendly and motivational for the children. Activities were accessible and engaging for the children. All thoroughly enjoyed the morning" "Children liked the assembly. They all felt inspired. They thought it was great that they got to meet a 'real' athlete". "Agree an inspiring visitor, loved her accent and her words were motivating.... as her aim would be to coach kids in the future would be great for her visit to have included some workshops to teach some basic moves because the children loved watching her in action on you tube....... or be able to follow up by us offering a judo club in school? "Thank you for organising. I felt inspired....and very unfit after 4 minutes"! Teachers from Elson Infant School
