Bio
How I Started
I started playing when Rugby when I was six at Cullompton Rugby Club, I began after my brother started playing and I wanted to join in! After joining I played with the boys for six years and then switched to playing for the women’s team at the age of 13 as per the rules. I then attended Hartpury College when I was 16 to train for Rugby alongside my academics where I stayed for three years. When I turned 18 I became a senior player and picked up my first England cap at the age of 20.
My Greatest Achievement
My greatest achievement is being a double Olympian for both Rio and Tokyo while captaining and co-captaining my team for both tournaments. Qualifying for the Tokyo Olympic Games was a high moment for me and the team as we had a lot of setbacks going on behind the scenes as we had coaches moving on and on paper, we were the underdogs throughout the whole season.
My Greatest Challenge
My greatest challenge was sustaining a torn hamstring 4 times in the space of just nine months! This was one of the hardest times of my career as I had just turned 21 and was nursing myself back from injury whilst also captaining the team. The recovery process was gruelling, and I was admitted to IRU for a month which focuses on not the sport, but the person taking on the recovery process.
My Hobbies
In my free time, I like to make the most of my time with family and friends by going for brunch, grabbing coffee and making memories!
My Future goals
In the future, I am hoping to qualify for Paris 2024 and bring home a gold medal.
