How I Started:
I began diving at six years old after growing confident in the water through swimming and looking for a new challenge. Initially petrified of the high boards, I learned to push past my fears- and in doing so, fell in love with the sport. What once intimidated me quickly became my passion, shaping my confidence both on and off the boards. My Greatest Achievement:
One of my greatest achievements was winning Olympic bronze at the Paris 2024 Games in the Men’s 3 m synchro with Jack Laugher. I’ve been fortunate to also earn European gold, Commonwealth gold, and multiple World Championship medals, but what makes my journey especially meaningful is winning medals at both the Youth Olympic Games in 2018 and the Olympic Games, something no other diver has achieved. My Greatest Challenge:
One of the biggest challenges in my career was the fight to make the Olympic team for Tokyo, with only a handful of places available in my event. At 21, I was forced to choose between fully committing to my Olympic dream or taking a more secure path through education.Even before that, I learned what sacrifice meant balancing schoolwork with elite training while travelling from Oldham to Leeds for the best coaching in the country. Those experiences shaped my resilience and taught me to stay committed, even when the path wasn’t easy.
