Bio
How I started:
I started at thirteen year sold at Solihull Amateur Boxing Club, I had watched the London 2012 Olympics and was inspired by Nicola Adams. I was a typical girl being into Cheerleading and horse riding. The first time I went into the gym I remember it being full of men, I turned up with my dad, but they weren’t keen on having a female there so I tried to copy what the others were doing which ended in me boxing in the orthodox stance as oppose to Southpaw even though I am naturally left handed!
My Greatest Achievement:
My greatest achievement is winning the senior elite national 57kg championship which led me onto becoming Team GB’s number 1 podium 57kg female boxer since October 2022. I was also selected to represent GB at every Olympic qualifier and European Games. Also, this year for Team GB I went out to Colorado to compete in the World Boxing Box Cup and beat two Olympians and the current WBC pro belt holder, which won me the gold medal after three tough fights!
My Greatest Challenge:
I was Team England’s junior Commonwealth Games ambassador and I assumed that I would be going to the Commonwealth Games to compete, but I wasn’t selected even though I was the current number one after winning the senior elite’s in 2022. I went up to GB to prove myself as an athlete but went unpaid for six months, which meant that I was working three jobs on top of my training until I had earned my current Version 2 Lights sponsorship.
My Hobbies:
Outside of Boxing I enjoy running and this has been something I have always enjoy as I used to compete in cross country for my school, I also enjoy shopping and watching Boxing replays to analyse them and see where I can improve my techniques and tactics. I will usually do this with my dad who is also my main coach outside of Team GB.
My Future Aspirations:
In the future I aim to win an Olympic gold medal in LA 2028. If that doesn’t go to plan I hope to go down the professional route and win all of the championship belts in the featherweight division, continue competing for Team GB, and to inspire as many young girls as possible to take up Boxing!
