How I Started:
I first fell in love with hockey when I was five years old, watching my mum play at our local club. Every Sunday, my parents would take me and my brothers to the pitch, where we’d spend up to three hours training and burning off energy. Hockey quickly became more than just an activity—it was something I genuinely looked forward to.
I carried on playing throughout school, joining the U16 team at age 14. From there, I progressed into the U18s, where one of my favourite early memories was winning a bronze medal after beating a strong German side. Moments like that cemented my passion for the sport.
My Greatest Achievement:
My proudest achievements include winning an Olympic bronze medal at the Tokyo Games and earning a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games. I was also honoured to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympics—an experience that pushed me, inspired me, and deepened my love for representing my country on the world stage.
My Greatest Challenge:
My biggest challenge came after the Paris Olympics, when I experienced burnout and felt disconnected from the sport that had always been my foundation. Taking a five-month break was difficult but necessary, and it gave me the space to rediscover my motivation, reset mentally, and return with a renewed appreciation for hockey.
My Hobbies:
I absolutely love travelling—my favourite destination so far is Thailand, mostly because of the incredible food. I’m a huge foodie, especially when it comes to Japanese and Chinese cuisine. When I’m cooking at home, my go-to meals are fajitas or a big plate of nachos.
My Future Aspirations:
Looking ahead, my biggest goal is to compete at the LA 2028 Olympics and bring home another medal. I’m also determined to win another European Championship medal and continue growing as both an athlete and a teammate.
