Bio
How I started:
I started when I was around 4 years old, it was when I was jumping around the house too much so my parents decided to take me to a trampoline club, from there I continued the hobby and moved around to a. Few different clubs after coaches recommending I go to them, but I eventually found Tumbling at eight years old. I began competing around 11 years old, so I was training in the evenings for three days a week and in school every weekday.
My Greatest Achievement:
My greatest achievement is my individual world silver medal in the Junior category, it was my third world championships as I had previously been to Japan in 2019 to compete in the Junior world championships over there, but it was in 2021 where I medalled on the world stage for the first time in Azerbaijan. When it came to 2022 it was my last year as a junior athlete, so I had an expectation for this event because I wanted to do well that year and finish my junior career off with a medal at the biggest competition of the year. When I put the run to my feet in front of the crowd I remember feeling frustrated as I was the favourite to win that competition as I had qualified in first, but had to change my run slightly. It was still a very difficult run, but I was happy to have landed safely without falling onto my face and then earning a silver medal!
My Greatest Challenge:
My greatest challenge was 2023 overall, it was a step up into a much more difficult category, competing against athletes that I have looked up to all my life, so it was an extremely difficult step up. The first competition I attended as a senior was the World Cup in Portugal. I had no expectations for that competition and my coach was competing alongside me which gave me a lot of confidence, I was putting out a lot of great runs and landing on my feet, but I had gone from feeling like I was competitive and fighting for the podium to being the newbie.
My Hobbies:
Outside of Gymnastics I spend my days at college, I am quite an artistic and creative person. I study Product Design and Art and this lets me explore the creative side of my away from Gymnastics.
My Future Aspirations:
In the future I want to achieve individual success as a senior gymnast as I have had team success, but I want to show that I can do it myself to the people that I have looked up to throughout my life.
